duee. ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.

1. What We Collect

When you create an account and use duee., we collect:

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign up.
• App data — classes, assignments, due dates, and reminders you create inside the app. This data belongs to you.
• Usage data — anonymous page visit counts (no personal identifiers beyond a random browser ID stored in your browser).
• Payment information — if you upgrade to Pro, your payment is processed by LemonSqueezy. We never see or store your card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the duee. service.
• To send you deadline reminders and notifications you've opted into.
• To respond to support requests.
• To understand how the app is being used (via anonymous visit counts).

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it for any purpose beyond operating duee.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses row-level security so only your account can access your own data. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS.

4. AI Assistant

When you use the AI Study Assistant, your messages are sent to Groq's API to generate responses. We do not store your AI conversations on our servers — they live only in your browser's local storage. Please don't share sensitive personal information through the AI chat.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage (not cookies) to remember your preferences, dark mode setting, AI conversation history, and a random visitor ID for anonymous analytics. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us.

7. Children's Privacy

duee. is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of duee. after changes means you accept the updated policy.
